What is a Report? #
A Report is the data generated from a Template. The date range for the report can be selected at run time or as part of a schedule. Reports allow a user to analyze data that may no longer be available in the Dashboard.
Getting Started #
This document provides the instructions for generating a Report from a Template. Before you begin, please ensure you have the following:
- Credentials to login to ISI Analytics
- The “Report Admin” or “Report User” role is assigned to your user
- A New or Existing Template
Run an Existing Template #
- Login to ISI Analytics
- Once logged in, browse to the Report Templates page by clicking the Report Templates menu option from the navigation bar
- Find the Template you want to generate a report for and click the button to the right of the template
- Select the Date and Time Range you want for the Report and click Run
- A new browser tab will open with the data for the Report in the format defined by the Template
Export a Report #
If you want to save the data offline, you can export a Report.
- Generate a Report by using the steps above
- Click the Button in the top right of the window.
- Select the type of export
- Click the Button
- Browse to Report History to check the status or download your report
Export Types #
Templates can be exported in 2 formats:
- Formatted Report: Outputs as an Excel file. Export of the report including Group By Headings, Fields, and Summaries. Us this to quickly review and visualize data.
- Details Only: Outputs as a CSV. Export of the Groupings and Fields flatted to a single line per record with no formatting. Use this to do further calculations or upload to another system.
