What is it the difference between the Legacy and Current authentication methods? #
Answer: The Current authentication offers several improvements over Legacy authentication:
- Allows internal administrator(s) of your choosing to create, remove, and modify users/logins
- Supports MFA
- email, SMS texting, and authenticator app options
- Supports SSO (for additional charge, see below)
- More secure
Is there a cost associated with the migration? #
Answer: No. However, there is a cost associated with using SSO. For a quote, please reach out to your account manager, or our Sales Team at sales@isianalytics.com.
How do I start the migration process? #
Answer: Reach out to our support team to get the process started.
What does the process entail? #
Answer:
- You will fill out a brief migration questionnaire (found below)
- You will review a provided list of all current users to confirm which ones will be migrated
- You should notify your users in advance of the change, as their existing logins will no longer work once the migration is complete.
- Once the migration is complete, users will need to set up their new credentials as well as MFA (if applicable)
Question: Once the migration is complete, how do I administer logins? #
Answer: See this guide for more information.
Migration Questionnaire #
- If your company uses multiple email domains (example: thisuser@domain1.com; thatuser@domain2.com), which email domain will you use for logins?
- Would you like MFA, SSO, or neither?
- If you selected MFA as an option, which method(s) you would like to use? The available options are Email, SMS, and/or Authenticator app. You can choose any combination of these options.
- If you selected SSO, please note there is an associated cost. You will be directed to your account manager for a quote if you are interested.
- Who are your administrator(s)? By default, all current user permissions will remain the same.
- What is your preferred migration date? Note that once the migration is complete, all users’ legacy logins will stop working. We recommend notifying users of the change in advance.
