Within Infortel Select, there are various choices of constraints when searching for an extension. This article defines the differences between the extensions and when to use them.
Constraints #
Caller ID: The phone number of the person making the call. These are the unformatted digits that show what was received from caller ID. May be different than the phone number on a trunk-to-trunk call where caller ID shows the incoming digits and phone number shows the outgoing digits.
Calling Party Number: This constraint indicates the phone number making the call. The number available is with Cisco data and Avaya IP Office only.
Extension: This constraint searches on the reporting extension that either made an outgoing call or received an incoming call.
- Allows you to search on query specific values, and by excluding records with no values.
Final Called Party Number: There are two conditions for the Final Called Party Number constraint:
- For forwarded calls, this constraint filters on the last party to receive the call
- For non-forwarded calls, this constraint filters on the original called party
Hunt Group Number: This constraint lets you include or exclude calls based on the selected hunt group number.
Last Redirected DN (Directory Number): This constraint will query values pertaining to the last extension that did not answer a call prior to it being redirected to another extension that finally answered it.
Original Call Party Number: This constraint will filter on the phone number that was originally called and after any digit translations have occurred. The original destination of a call may differ from its final destination.
Phone Number: This constraint is based on the names assigned to numbers in the Phone Number database.
- For an outbound or internal call, the phone number is the digits dialed.
- For an inbound call, the phone number is the ANI if it is available.
Multi-Field Number Search: This constraint is used to search for a particular number or numbers that can appear in several fields in different records.
- Example: It may appear in the Extension field in one record. The Final Called Party Number in another record. And Calling Party Number in a third record.
- The search looks for values in the previously listed constraints, as well as “Second Extension”.
