What is a Connector? #
A connector is the way ISI Analytics stores the required information needed to retrieve data from a third party platform. ISI Analytics supports many different connector types and a customer can mix and match connectors within a single environment.
Getting Started #
This document provides the instructions for configuring a Cisco UCM Connector for use with ISI Analytics. Before you begin, please ensure you have the following:
- Credentials to login to ISI Analytics
- The “Connector Admin” role is assigned to your user
- A registered Cloud Connect Server
- The Hostname or IP address of your UCM publisher
- Application user in UCM with the Standard AXL API Access role
Adding a New Connector #
- Login to ISI Analytics
- Once logged in, browse to the Connectors page by clicking the Connector menu option from the navigation bar.
- Next, Click the button.
- Select the Manufacturer, Cisco.
- Select the Type, UCM (Unified Communications Manager).
Basic Information #
Begin by entering the Basic Information. Provide a friendly name for your connector and optionally, any additional information that may be helpful to identify it.
Connection Information #
- Input the following required information
- Cloud Connect Server: The Cloud Connect Server to use to connect to UCM. If none exist you can create a new Cloud Connect Server and Register it.
- UCM Hostname: The Hostname or IP Address of your UCM Publisher
- Username: Username of the Application user in UCM with the Standard AXL API Access role.
- Password: Password for the Application User
- Use the Test Credentials button to verify the connection and credentials.
